  This may be the only place in Geelong that offers fresh, juicy, traditional Char Siu. (Friday and Saturday nights only)
  
  Tonight a customer bailed on their order, so I was offered an orphaned satay beef at a discounted price. Never been a fan of the most cliched dish of Australianised Chinese cooking going back decades.
  
  It was an absolute triumph. Melt in the mouth beef, amazing vegetables, complex sauce.
  
  Give this place a go before the hipsters discover it.

  We were on our way back to the melbourne city from great ocean road day trip looking for dinner fix and rest before another 1 hr drive down. Chanced upon this random find, turns out to be a takeout shop. Owner offered and accommodated 10 of us by setting up table although they are soon to closing time

  Ordered char kway teow and it was delicious.
  Couldn't get into shop with a wheelchair but she was happy to come out to take order.
  Very pleasant attitude.

  Best Chinese food in Geelong!
  
  Love this place. Great food, super nice people, they still have the tradition of prawn crackers on the house with your order and the food is way more authentic than anything else around.
  
  If you don't get your Chinese food from here, you need to reevaulate your choices in life!

  First- the crispy beef with sweet and sauce sauce is something to behold. My tip is to ask for the sauce separately if you are, like me, driving across town before consuming. The sauce is pineappley and tart, beef is so crispy.
  Lost a star for the fried rice (the spam type ham is not to my taste, and not enough veg), and the shop needs a tidy up.
  BUT the beef is so good that I'm happy to pick up some fried rice elsewhere on my way home, no prob. Nice people too.

  We had honey chicken which was very good, but we also had combination chow neon which was not so good also they they weren't very friendly and the building wasn't exactly clean in fact it was quite old and didn't look particularly hygienic.

  Had meat lovers fried rice which grey grissly chicken pieces, tough grissly BBQ pork and diced processed ham or devon. Disgusting! My partner threw away their chicken curry which was generous but also grey, grissly and of questionable appearance. The fried dim sims were nice enough. The sweet and sour sauce that came with the dim sum was watery and flavoured like weak raspberry cordial. YUCK!
  Our order took over 40 mins to prepare with no other customers in the outlet. First and definitely the LAST time at grimy Poon and Wongs for us.

  Poon, from Poon and Wong's has to be one of the nicest blokes i have come across, he has to be the monarch of Chinese food, and and absolute god at delivering 100% quality Lemon Chicken
