- Mack Bock Added August 06, 2017★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆Been to Umami's in it's previous location and was happy with the vegan options and was happy to return given our previous experience. My wife and I had the Silken Tofu which is the only vegan labelled item on the menu though some others could be made vegan. Was a good size serving, however there was very little on offer in terms of flavour, it was as though there was nothing put into it to add any flavour. Needless to say my wife and I were very disappointed in our underwhelming $28 meals. I'd hope the chef/s preparing vegan meals will understand that cooking this type of vegan food takes a little bit of effort and a flavourful meal is what we would expect for this price tag.
Staff were nice and helpful but the restaurant was very noisy, unfortunately we won't be back.
